If proposed changes to Medicaid were enacted, would they impact your ability to access necessary treatments, specialists, or diagnostic services for mitochondrial disease?

Would these changes affect your ability to afford essential medications, medical equipment, or supportive therapies?

If Medicaid coverage were reduced or restricted, would you have any viable alternative coverage options? If so, would those options adequately meet your needs?

Have you experienced difficulty finding Medicaid providers who specialize in mitochondrial disease? If so, how would potential cuts or restructuring further affect your access to qualified providers?

If you were unable to access treatment due to Medicaid changes, what impact would that have on your health and quality of life?

Have you ever had to delay or forgo treatment due to cost or coverage restrictions? What were the consequences?

If work requirements were implemented or expanded in your state, how would that affect you or your ability to care for a loved one with mitochondrial disease?

Have you or your caregiver been exempt from work requirements due to medical necessity? If so, was the exemption process straightforward or burdensome?

Would meeting work requirements be feasible given the physical toll of mitochondrial disease or the caregiving responsibilities it entails?
